Biographical Sketch

James (Jim) has 34 years of environmental experience with Shell including assignments with Shell Chemical Company (current), Shell Exploration and Production Company (Oil & Gas) and Shell Oil Products Company (Pipeline and Distribution).

He has supported Shell’s Pennsylvania Chemicals Project in Monaca, PA since early 2015 and has worked / lived in the Commonwealth since 2010. Past assignments include environmental regulatory manager for two world class natural gas fields in the Marcellus region and Pinedale Anticline, Wyoming. Other environmental work includes projects in Alaska, California, Rockies, Gulf Coast and Mid-Continent regions.

Environmental work experience includes environmental program development, air quality monitoring, air and water permitting / compliance, air emissions, oil & gas field site restoration, habitat re-vegetation, soil and groundwater monitoring, assessment and remediation, NEPA, operations support (onshore and offshore), HSE auditing, and sustainable development. Past member of PADEP’s Air Quality Technical Advisory Committee.

In his spare time, he taught HSSE course at a local Community College, built a wooden boat in his garage, loves fly fishing and photography and is preparing for retirement. Married for 40 years and blessed with two beautiful daughters.
