General Counsel, Marcellus Shale Coalition

Mr. Bossert is General Counsel for the Marcellus Shale Coalition. Mr. Bossert has over 40 years of experience in environmental law, serving in government/regulatory, corporate, and private legal practice roles, including serving as Chief Counsel for the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection (PA DEP). Mr. Bossert also served as a Deputy Attorney General and helped to establish the Environmental Crimes Unit in the Office of Attorney General and presented the first environmental cases to the statewide investigating grand jury. Mr. Bossert serves on DEP’s Climate Change Advisory Committee. He is the retired co-editor of the treatise Pennsylvania Environmental Law and Practice, published by the Pennsylvania Bar Institute (PBI), which won a national award from the Association of Continuing Legal Education. He is a graduate of the Pennsylvania State University Dickinson School of Law, J.D, and Susquehanna University, B.A.
